Travel Information
Columbia University is easily accessible
from John F. Kennedy (JFK) International, Newark International (EWR),
and LaGuardia (LGA) airports (LGA serves domestic flights
only). Average one-way taxi fare to Columbia, or to area
hotels, is approximately $50 from JFK or Newark, or $30 from
LaGuardia. Taxis within New York City--covering those from
both JFK and LaGuardia Airports--are now required to take credit
cards. Taxis from Newark Airport may require cash
payment. Train and
car service options are also available. If you take
a taxi from the airport, please use an authorized taxi from a taxi
stand at the airport.
From within Manhattan, Columbia University is served by the Number 1
subway train (red line) at the 116th St. stop. Please note
that the 2 and 3 trains on the red line do not
serve Columbia.
Conference Hotel and Dormitory Information
Both hotel and dormitory options are
planned to be available for ICELW participants. Details will be provided as it gets closer to the conference.
